It's that new Pixar film.

I've seen trailers for it for a while. First time I saw a trailer was in the theater when I went to go see the Avengers. On first impression, it looked really fucking impressive. I really like the art/animation style. Looks pretty detailed and like a pretty good step forward.

"Merida demanded more time at the stylist than even the most difficult of starlets! Since her wild, red hair underscores her free spirit, Pixar spent nearly three years developing two unique software systems: one program coordinated the movement of 1,500 separate curls, the other created a seamless relationship between Merida’s hair and her movements. "

Holy fucking shit.

Fucking developing new software and shit.

Yeah they also talk about how this movie practically encompasses everything that they've been unable to do until now.

Pushing forward with the possibilities of CGI.

Seeing this shit makes me both happy and kinda sad that I prefer to stick to traditional 2D animation.

Happy as in it's great and I'd hate to see it go away. Also in the sense that I'm shit at 3-D (I could always practice but hjbgjkffs fuck you)

Sad as in well

3-D is so widespread now and I can't get in on it too

well i could but

fucking christ.
