Before watching it, I had been led to believe that it wasn't that good. However, the source I heard it from was clearly a fucking moron. It was a great movie. It's much more clever and in-depth than its 2005 slasher remake.

The film follows quite a different plot. It follows the story of a wax sculptor whose life work is destroyed when his partner devises a selfish plan to set fire to their museum and collect insurance money. With his life's work destroyed, the sculptor spirals downward into madness, and must restock his house of wax.

I like the plot of this one a lot more than the 2005 remake's. I mean yeah, the 2005 is pretty fun in the sense that it's a slasher and shit, but I really liked this one in its sense of plot twists and confusion.

I'd highly recommend it.

On this DVD that I have, the other side of the disc is the super duper original 1933 original that started it all.

I'll give that a watch tomorrow oh boYT!~@
